MARED AL IRAQIYA SIGNS DISTRIBUTION AGREEMENT WITH GENERAL MILLS

In a watershed moment for the company, Mared Al Iraqiya recently signed a deal with General Mills to distribute Betty Crocker products – Baking & Cake Mixes, Brownies & Bars, Cookie Mixes, and Muffin Mixes – across the Iraqi territory. “It goes without saying that Betty Crocker is a household name throughout the world and we are proud to be introducing it on a massive scale to the Iraqi market. Together with General Mills, we anticipate great success for the brand,” said Chakib Chehab, CEO, Malia Invest Holding, the company that oversees Malia Group’s operations and investments in Iraq. Founded in 1921, Betty Crocker is owned by General Mills, an American multinational manufacturer and marketer of baking goods, cereals, ice cream, grain snacks, meal products, organic food and frozen food. Mared Al Iraqiya is Malia Group’s consumer goods distribution arm in Iraq.
